Cheese Store “Christmas Crew”

Burnett Dairy Cooperative is looking for temporary employees to help with shipping holiday orders for our cheese store. This position is responsible for ringing orders, processing credit/check payments, weighing and pricing cheese, packaging orders to be shipped, assembling gift boxes, and stocking shelves. This job requires pro-longed standing and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. The shift is Sunday-Thursday 3pm – 10pm through the holiday season. Must be able to work as part of a team in an active and pleasant work environment.


Cheesemaker Supervisor - FT

Burnett Dairy Cooperative is looking for a Cheesemaker with the skills to make the highest quality cheeses as well as be a strong leader who can guide the Makeroom employees and all processes daily. Burnett Dairy Cooperative specializes in soft Italian cheese (provolone and mozzarella) as well as artisan American cheddars of the highest quality. Founded in 1896, the company employs approximately 225 associates and processes 1 million pounds of milk per day running a continuous three shift operation.

This position would be responsible for directing the cheese making process to assure product quality, crew safety, and efficiency. This includes production scheduling, quality control, knowledge of all machinery, coordination of staff schedules, and department productivity. The Cheesemaker Supervisor is responsible for cleanliness and sanitation of the department and the accurate recording of all production information. The right person for this position would have excellent communication skills, a good sense of team, a strong ability to lead, a passion for the cheese industry, and the ability to function in an active and demanding work environment.

Having a current WI Cheesemaker’s License is required; being a Master Cheesemaker is preferred. Pay is dependent on education and experience.


PM - Night Packaging - FT

Burnett Dairy Cooperative is currently accepting applications for the position of Night Packager. This is a full time position that offers an excellent benefits package and a very competitive wage.

This position is responsible for boxing/weighing/stacking/palletizing cheese, monitoring the machinery and ensuring quality of the product, and setting up/breaking down machines daily. This job requires steady standing, lifting, and stretching. It also requires frequent lifting and carrying of 50lbs. Employee must be able to work as part of a team in a very fast paced work environment, be 18 years of age or older, and be available to work during the week and weekend. Shifts are 4:00pm - midnight and midnight - 8:00am (or whenever work is complete).
