Exciting and rare opportunity happening in Duluth! Burnett Dairy Cooperative is excited to bring its award winning cheese's and local goodies to the Duluth neighborhood. Included within this store will be a Bistro, which will provide a variety of food options to customers. In order to set this Bistro up for success, we are looking for a Bistro Supervisor to help build their own team from the ground up. The ideal candidate will have a background in food management, along with strong leadership skills. Some of the primary duties and responsibilities include: overseeing daily operations of the bistro to include inventory control, product ordering, employee scheduling, menu development, food pricing, etc. all while ensuring compliance with food safety standards. This supervisor will also be responsible for the day-to-day job performance of Bistro Associates by providing feedback, helping to develop and enhance their skills, ensuring staff compliance with all policies and procedures, and reporting employee issues to the Cheese Store Manager. We are looking for a supervisor that has previous food management experience, excellent customer service abilities, strong leadership and supervising skills and is able to lead by example. Production Opportunities

Makeroom CIP Operator AM Shift

The Makeroom is a very important piece of Burnett Dairy Cooperative, so we're looking for reliable and hardworking people that have a passion to succeed and exceed, and the desire to learn and grow within our company. The Makeroom is where the 'magic' of cheesemaking occurs, and as Makeroom CIP Operator you will be responsible for the proper cleaning and sanitizing of all pasteurizing, separating, whey, and culture introduction equipment and storage silos. Sanitation is a very important position here at the dairy as it will ensure that we give our customers the best quality cheese. The Makeroom CIP Operator works 7a-7p on a rotational schedule of 2 days on 2 days off, 3 days on 2 days off (which includes every other weekend off). A few of the physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and climb, balance, stoop, kneel and crouch as needed. Bistro and Cheese Store Clerks (Full & Part-time)

Burnett Dairy Cooperative is currently hiring Bistro and Cheese Store workers. The right person for these positions is prompt, efficient, courteous, and above all has excellent customer service skills. Job duties include, but are not limited to: cashiering, stocking shelves and coolers, maintaining a clean and sanitary work area, and helping customers with their transactions. To be qualified for this position, a person must be comfortable using a computer, be able to collect money and make change, be comfortable working with food products, and demonstrate excellent customer service skills. This job requires constant standing, infrequent lifting of up to 50 pounds, and the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced, pleasant work environment. Similar clerk experience preferred. Schedule includes: days, evenings, and weekends with hours ranging from 7:45am-7:30pm. The hourly rate of pay for a part-time employee is $12, and full-time is $15. Production Supervisor-AM Makeroom

We are currently accepting applications for the position of Makeroom Production Supervisor for the AM Shift. This position is responsible for directing the cheese making process to ensure product quality, crew safety, and production efficiencies are being met. Other duties and responsibilities include; production scheduling, quality control, knowledge of all machinery, coordination of staff schedules, training, coaching and department productivity. Must be mobile and able to direct a team in a changing work environment. This is a working supervisor position so working on the production floor is required. The job requirements for this position include the capability to lift/push/pull/stack up to 60 lbs., stand on feet for long periods of time, and have the ability to be a licensed forklift operator. This Production Supervisor role is on a rotational schedule of 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on 2 days off, working every other weekend from the hours of 7:00a-7:00p. To be successful as a supervisor, we're looking for candidates with strong written and verbal communication skills and the demonstrated ability to motivate people, assess and develop employee skills and provide effective leadership for growth and development.

Maintenance Technician (PM Shift)

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes. This position performs multiple maintenance duties within the factory and grounds. Employees are required to perform maintenance and repair on machinery, as well as, welding, electrical, fabricating and mechanical duties. Preferred candidates should have

Technical degree or equivalent in electrical, mechanical, hydraulics and pneumatics maintenance
Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), PLC programming and computer operation
Knowledgeable in fabrication and welding
Knowledgeable of electronics and trouble-shooting of electronics
Two years of maintenance and/or maintaining food service equipment
Knowledge of OSHA regulations, lock out/tag out procedures, and confined space

Applicants must be reliable and able to troubleshoot and work independently in a fast-paced working environment. The schedule for this position is on a rotational schedule of 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on 2 days off, working every other weekend from the hours of 6:00p-6:00a. Overtime and alternate days maybe required based on workload.
