Recipe Description

Indulge in the deliciously unique Gouda Apple Quesadilla, where the sweet, creamy gouda cheese perfectly complements the crisp apple slices and crunchy walnuts, all wrapped in a warm tortilla and kissed with cinnamon-sugar goodness.


1 1/2 teaspoons sugar

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 teaspoon butter

2 flour tortillas (6 inches)

2 ounces Cady Creek Farms Gouda cheese, shredded and divided (1/2 cup)

5 thin apple slices

2 tablespoons chopped walnuts

  • Combine sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  • Melt butter in a nonstick skillet over medium-low heat, tilting the pan to coat the bottom evenly.
  • Place one tortilla into the skillet.
  • Layer with 1/4 cup of gouda cheese, apple slices, walnuts, and the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  • Top with the remaining gouda cheese and the second tortilla.
  • Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the cheese is melted and the tortillas are golden brown.
  • Transfer the quesadilla to a cutting board.
  • Cut into wedges and serve.
